The grand old party will be ousting its leaders for violation of its whip in the Rajya Sabha polls in Gujarat.

"Six more Gujarat Congress MLAs to be expelled from the party for violation of the whip in Rajya Sabha polls," Congress Gujarat chief Ashok Ghelot told ANI.

With these six MLAs being sacked the count will rise to 14.

"Eight Gujarat Congress MLAs have already been expelled from the party. Six more have been expelled from the party for violation of the whip in the Rajya Sabha polls," said Gujarat Congress in-charge Ashok Gehlot.

After senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel won the Rajya Sabha elections, the party on Wednesday expelled eight of its MLAs, including former Chief Minister Shankersinh Vaghela, for six years for violation of its whip.
