Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Jan. 16 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed an FIR against Naresh Kumar, an upper division clerk at All India Institute of Medical Sciences' (AIIMS) surgery department, and one private person over alleged irregularities in awarding 17 tenders worth over Rs 24 lakh.

According to media reports, Chandani Jhatta, owner of H.S. Enterprises, a private firm has also been booked by the CBI.

The name of the firm was also red-flagged by the then chief vigilance officer AIIMS Sanjiv Charturvedi in his report to the CBI dated May 19, 2014.

According to a statement by CBI, "The report stated that there was clear malafide for obtaining undue pecuniary advantages for these firms by deliberately suppressing healthy competition." (ANI)
