Ambala (Haryana) [India], Jan 20 (ANI): Members of a Rajput organisation on Saturday staged a protest against controversial film 'Padmaavat' in Ambala just five days before its release, threatening to torch the theatres if the movie gets screened there.

"We will burn down the theatres if they screen the film", the Rajput Youth Bridge members shouted the slogans.

Yesterday, Shri Rajput Karni Sena vented out anger against Central Board of Film Certification chief Prasoon Joshi, saying he will "not be allowed to enter Rajasthan".

The country's top court, on Thursday, stayed notifications issued by the four states - Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat to ban the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum-opus.

In its interim order, the court said all states are constitutionally obliged to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident during the screening of the film after permission has been granted by the CBFC. (ANI)
