Amid all the controversies that have surrounded the duo over the years, Gambhir cleared the air off the rumours by stating that him and Kohli 'were, are, and will always be friends'.

Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli have infamously been involved in on-field conflicts, with the most recent one being in 2023, when Gambhir was the mentor of LSG, and Virat Kohli's RCB managed to pull of a huge upset in a low-scoring thriller.

Here's What He Said During The Session

"Look, we were friends, we are friends, and we will remain friens, and the reason why I say that, it's important for you to know that on-field disputes often happen, and players on both sides have the right to fight for their team. However, how you keep your off-the-field bond with the player is something that does not concern the outsiders, they will not even know in the future as well, because people spead these rumours to gain TRP."

"There is a journalist who thinks he knows everything, stepped into the field of cricket to comment on my issues with Virat Kohli back them. I think he should do his homework, because such people don't know the ABCD of cricket and still prefer to pass comments on the sport, and players."
