Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, known for a prolific career spanning over 35 years, recently appeared at ABP Network's India@2047 Summit, where he engaged in a candid conversation with news anchor Chitra Tripathi. During the session, Aamir spoke openly about a range of topics—from his ambitious dream project Mahabharata and his upcoming film 'Sitaare Zameen Par', to his views on the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

Why Aamir Khan Missed the Grand 'Andaz Apna Apna' Premiere

When asked why he skipped the much-anticipated premiere of his cult classic 'Andaz Apna Apna' in Mumbai, Aamir Khan explained that the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam had deeply disturbed him. “Aise innocents pe goli chala rahe hain, matlab soch kya rahe the,” he said, visibly emotional.

Aamir added that he has complete faith in the Indian government: “Mujhe bharosa hai ki humari sarkar sahi kadam uthayegi. Hume aise sensitive matters sarkar pe hi chhod dene chahiye.” He also expressed hope that justice will be delivered.

Aamir Khan Reflects on Visiting Kashmir After Article 370

The actor also spoke about his last visit to Jammu & Kashmir, which occurred after the abrogation of Article 370 and following the COVID-19 lockdown. Recalling his experience, he said, “Kashmir shant lag rahi thi, aisa lag raha tha ki hum normalcy ki taraf jaa rahe hain.” However, he also acknowledged that the subdued atmosphere could have been due to the recently eased lockdown restrictions.
