Often in the eye of the storm and vividly discussed for her Rwanda immigration policy that garnered extreme views, former UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman will be present at ABP Network's Ideas of India Summit to speak on 'The World in Ferment: Closing Borders, Brutal Wars'. The controversial former UK minister, who was sacked twice from the same role in a year, is expected to elaborate on her ideas that evoked extreme sentiments.

Her contentious immigration policy seeking to deport immigrants to Rwanda has been dissected globally and evoked varied responses. In the wake of the ongoing conflicts and the consequent refugee crisis, ABP Network's 'Ideas Of India Summit' seeks to explore her views about the West opening up to immigrants and the dangers of open borders.

Braverman, a Conservative Party leader and legal expert, entered the UK Parliament representing Fairham in 2015, later assuming the role of attorney general for England and Wales, a position she held from 2020 to 2022. Advocating for the UK's departure from the EU, she also served as a junior minister in the Brexit department during Theresa May's tenure as the prime minister. However, she resigned from this post in opposition to May's proposed Brexit agreement, citing concerns that it did not adequately address the need to sever ties with the European bloc.

Braverman's has her roots in India with her parents immigrating to the UK during the 1960s. Though her mother hailed from Mauritius, she had a Hindu Tamil descent. Her father was from Kenya, but is of Goan origin.
