New Delhi: Both Mumbai and Delhi continued to witness the worrying surge in Coronavirus cases as the cities reported 19,474, and 22,751 new coronavirus infections respectively.
Delhi Covid-19 Tally
According to data given by the municipal health department on Sunday, COVID-19 caused 17 fatalities and 22,751 infections in a single day, with a positive rate of 23.53 percent.
On Sunday, the city reported the newest cases since May 1 last year, when 25,219 cases were registered with a positive rate of 31.61 percent.
There are now 1,618 Covid patients in hospitals. According to government records, 44 of them are on ventilator support.
There are presently 60,733 active cases in the city, with 35,714 in home isolation.
The previous day, a total of 96,678 tests were performed, including 79,954 RT-PCR assays.

Mumbai Covid Tally
On Sunday, the situation in Mumbai appeared to improve as the city reported 19,474 cases in the previous 24 hours, down from 20,318 the day before. Seven people died as a result of Covid, according to the city civic body.
A total of 82 percent (15,969) of the 19,474 patients are asymptomatic.
Today, 1,240 coronavirus patients have been admitted to hospitals, with 118 of them requiring oxygen.
There are now 111,437 active Covid cases in the financial capital. The city's 34,960 hospital beds are presently filled by 7,432 people, or 21.3 percent.
As of today's report, 8,063 persons have recovered and been released. The recovery rate is presently at 85 percent, down from 86 percent yesterday.
