Most people wait for summers as it is a season of mangoes. In India, mangoes are considered the king of all fruits. This fruit provides nutrition but overconsumption can also adversely affect our body. It is therefore important to know about its side effects.

Mangoes contain high amounts of natural sugar and have many beneficial vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, B, C, E, K. The polyphenols, triterpene, and lupeol found in it are known to have antioxidative and anti-inflammatory properties. But research suggests that along with the benefits, there are some side effects as well.

Side-Effects Of Eating Excessive Mangoes

1. Eating mango in excess can cause diarrhea. Mangoes contain a high amount of fiber, and excess consumption of fibrous fruits can cause diarrhea. Therefore, it is advisable to eat this fruit in a balanced proportion.

2. Mangoes contain a high amount of sugar, which can harm diabetes patients. Therefore, if you are a diabetic patient, then you must consult a doctor before using it.

3. Some people may be allergic to mango and may complain of a runny nose, difficulty in breathing, stomach pain, and sneezing. Hence it is advisable to get tested for allergies and stop consuming the mangoes for some time.
