So far, over 6.5 crore beneficiaries in the state have received golden cards under the ‘Ayushman Yojana.' However, the current campaign aims to bring over 40 lakh Antyodaya cardholders who are not covered by this scheme into the fold.

Any beneficiary can use this card to receive free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in any empaneled hospital across the country.

According to the decision, Antyodaya cardholder families at the bottom of the social ladder will be able to pay their medical bills more easily, Chief Minister, on Tuesday, said,

“This campaign should be conducted with full commitment and the benefit of the scheme should be provided to all eligible people.”

The Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana will be linked to these new beneficiaries.

This will not only reduce the financial burden on poor and underprivileged families across the state, but will also ensure that the poorest members of society have access to quality health care services.
