New Delhi: India has again reported a slight surge in Coronavirus cases today. The country registered 2,876 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours.


While 3,884 recovered from the disease, 98 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.


India's Active caseload declines to 32,811 today and stands at 0.08% of the country's total positive Cases


The recovery rate of the country is now at 98.72%. while the total recoveries in India stand at 4,24,50,055. 


India’s Cumulative COVID-19 vaccination Coverage has exceeded 180.60 Crore. 


After the addition of 98 fatalities today, the country's death toll is now at 5,16,072





 


According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.38 per cent and weekly positivity rate at 0.44 per cent.

As many as 78.05 crore total tests have been conducted so far and 7,52,818 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, it said.

India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.


It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.

The country crossed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4 and three crore on June 23 last year.


Maharashtra


Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 207 new coronavirus infections and four pandemic-related deaths, the state health department said.

It took the tally of COVID-19 cases in the state to 78,71,566, and death toll to 1,43,757.

The number of recovered cases increased to 77,21,510 after 290 patients were discharged from hospital or recovered at home.

There are 2,295 active cases in the state now.

Coronavirus case fatality rate is 1.82 per cent, while recovery rate is 98.09 per cent.
