New Delhi: India on Saturday reported 2,075 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3,383 recoveries, and 71 deaths in the last 24 hours.


The new coronavirus infections took the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,30,06,080, while the active cases dipped to 27,802.

According to the Union Health Ministry data, the death toll climbed to 5,16,352 with the fresh fatalities.


The active cases comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.73 per cent.


The number of people who have recuperated from COVID-19 increased to 4,24,61,926.


The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 181.04 crore so far, according to the ministry data.

Coronavirus Cases In Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi


Kerala on Friday recorded 847 new coronavirus cases and 59 virus-related deaths taking the total number of people affected in the state to 65,25,879 and the death toll to 67,197.


Of the deaths, three were reported in the last 24 hours, 12 were those which occurred in the last few days but were not recorded due to late receipt of documents and 44 were designated as COVID-19 deaths after receiving appeals based on the new guidelines of the Centre and the directions of the Supreme Court, the state health department informed.


A total of 1,321 people recuperated from the disease on Friday taking the total cured in the state to 64,51,349.


Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Friday reported 171 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths, taking the tally of infections in the state to 78,72,203 and death toll to 1,43,765, PTI reported.


So far, 77,22,754 people have recovered from the viral infection in the state, including 394 on Friday.


There are currently 1,680 active patients in Maharashtra.


The recovery rate stands at 98.10 per cent and fatality rate at 1.82 per cent.


On the other hadn, Delhi reported 140 fresh COVID-19 cases and zero death on Friday, while the positivity rate was recorded at 0.43 per cent.


With this, the national capital's Covid case count increased to 18,63,633, while the death toll due to the disease stood at 26,145.


The city had recorded zero fatality count on March 5, 6, 10, 11, 13, and 14 as well.
