The exercise is aimed to check the best way to vaccinate people against the novel Coronavirus and work upon the loopholes in logistics. The mock drill will assess its ability and readiness to administer shots to hundreds of millions of people by testing the preparedness for the vaccine rollout.
According to the sources, the day-long drive on Friday will be conducted across the country except for Uttar Pradesh as the first trail run was held in all the districts of the state. The massive exercise will also test the operational feasibility of CoWIN application.
The first massive dry run was held on January 2. Before that, the centre successfully conducted a two-day pilot Covid-19 vaccination drive in eight districts in four states on December 28-29.
Some 96,000 vaccinators have been trained for drill. Of these, 2,360 participants have been trained in the National Training of Trainers and over 57,000 with district-level training in 719 districts.

A team of four people – one person to check the documents, one to check the registration of the beneficiaries, one to monitor the person, and one to control the crowd — will be present.
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan during the last dry run had said that the government has been preparing for the vaccine rollout for the last four months. Based on the feedback of dry-run, government on Tuesday said it is ready to introduce COVID-19 vaccine within 10 days from date of emergency use authorisation."
