Home-grown SuperGaming' Indus game is set to revolutionise the Battle Royale genre. This made-in-India battle royale game entered Open Beta is now raising the bar for this genre with its newest feature, Grudge. Ever experienced a death in the game and your killer was gloating on the mic? Indus is here to help you with that frustration and anger. Indus has brought this state-of-the-art revenge mechanic 'Grudge' feature.

In simpler terms, Indus Battle Royale addresses these rivalries by placing competing players in the same lobby and offering in-game support to help resolve conflicts. With Grudge, Indus aims to transform the way players engage with each other, compete, and experience the battle for survival and prestige.

Indus Battle Royale 'Grudge' Feature: Hunter V. Defender

The Grudge system introduces two main roles for players: Hunter and Defender. Players or squads can take on one or both roles during a match, each providing a unique gameplay experience. Hunters receive system support to locate and engage their targets, while Defenders are warned of imminent threats, setting up for high-stakes, strategic encounters.

As a Hunter, players get various aids to track and confront their adversaries. The first of these aids is the Ejection Notification, which informs the Hunter when their target exits from the starting flight. This early alert allows Hunters to decide whether to pursue their Grudge right away or to focus on it later in the game.

Conversely, Defenders are given alerts indicating the Hunter’s approach. Rather than providing exact locations, these alerts give clues, keeping both roles on their toes and adding a layer of suspense and strategic depth to the gameplay.

Core Of Grudge Feature

Grudge is fundamentally designed to let players pursue personal rivalries within the world of Indus. It enhances the natural rewards of outsmarting opponents—such as revenge, domination, and the excitement of surpassing rivals. While these motivations have traditionally relied on personal skill and effort, Grudge weaves them directly into the game’s mechanics.

With Grudge, players can initiate a vendetta against an opponent or team with just a button press, integrating this feature smoothly into the gameplay without altering the core battle royale experience. Far from being a mere extra, this functionality is a key element of Indus's identity, providing players with greater control and engagement with minimal disruption.

One of the standout features of Grudge is its seamless integration into the existing battle royale framework, maintaining the game’s natural rhythm. Grudge interactions are handled outside the main gameplay loop and are incorporated into the user interface, which helps players transition smoothly in and out of BR sessions. This design choice ensures that Grudge enhances the fast-paced, high-stakes nature of the game rather than disrupting it.

Additionally, features like Zone Telegraphing and Vicinity Tracker ensure that the Grudge system remains effective and adaptable. Zone Telegraphing gives Hunters a general area on the map where their target might be, while the Vicinity Tracker notifies Defenders when a Hunter is in the vicinity. These tools keep the gameplay dynamic, enabling diverse strategies and tactics as players pursue their personal rivalries.

Grudge Wars: The Ultimate Esports Tournament Of Rivalries & Glory

As Indus pushes the limits of the Battle Royale genre, the Grudge Wars tournament hosted by SuperGaming provides players with an opportunity to escalate their in-game rivalries. Currently underway, this tournament serves as a testing ground for those aiming for glory and revenge in the Virlok battlefield. With a substantial cash prize pool of ₹10,00,000, players are competing through weekly qualifiers, leading up to a grand finale on September 20.

In this final event, the top 15 Pro and Challenger teams will clash in a Best of 7 series. The tournament not only offers intense competition for top-tier players but also rewards those advancing through the ranks, ensuring that participants at every level have something to gain. Whether you're aiming for dominance in the Pro League or striving to rise through the Challengers League, the stakes have never been higher.
