New Delhi: PlayStation 5 will be available for pre-order today, June 21, via several e-commerce platforms. Released in November 2020, the PS5 is offered to customers in two variants — the standard PS5 that supports Blu-ray discs, and a discless PS5 Digital Edition. Since their release, both the consoles have only been made available to online customers via blink-and-miss restocks. Hence, the PS5 is still elusive to many eager customers in India. It should be noted that in today’s restock, the PS5 standard variant will only be available as a bundle, with a copy of Gran Turismo 7.
PS5 restock: Price in India
The bundle of PS5 and Gran Turismo 7 is available for Rs 54,490, offering a total discount of Rs 499 to customers.
PS5 restock: When will the PlayStation 5 be available for pre-orders?
The PS5 will be available for pre-orders today, starting 12pm (noon).
As seen in the case of previous restocks, it’s possible that the console may sell out in a matter of seconds, so interested customers are advised to stay online at least 10 minutes before the sale starts.
PS5 restock: How to pre-order via ShopAtSC
ShopAtSC is the online portal to Sony Center’s retail outlets. One of the first platforms to confirm the restock, ShopAtSC also offers customers the option to pick up their consoles from a nearby outlet after pre-ordering.
ShopAtSC requires customers to have an account, so it’s a good idea to set that up beforehand.
PS5 restock: How to pre-order via Vijay Sales
Just like most other e-commerce platforms, Vijay Sales provides free home delivery to customers. You won’t need an account to purchase a PS5, but it will ask for your mobile number and email address to sign in as a guest.
PS5 restock: How to pre-order via Games The Shop
Games The Shop will allow customers to pre-order the PS5 with free home delivery. As is the case with Vijay Sales, you don’t need an account to purchase. However, it will ask for your email address.
While the above platforms are the only ones to confirm the availability of the PS5 for pre-orders via official banners on their sites, it can be expected that the usual players, such as Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, GameLoot, and Reliance Digital will also be restocking the Sony console today at 12pm. So, it would be a good idea to check these platforms right before pre-orders begin.
At the time of writing, none of the platforms offered any details on when deliveries are expected to begin for the pre-ordered PS5 consoles.
