eSports tournaments are gaining huge popularity in India, as more and more gamers are willing to try their luck against other eSports players in order to win a lump sum cash prize. While there are many such tourneys taking place across the country, the Penta Collegiate League is trying to stand out in the crowd by inviting students from colleges and universities across India, and rewarding the winner with scholarships worth Rs 30 lakhs. 


The Penta Collegiate League is being organised by gaming firm Penta Esports in partnership with Indian game streaming platform Loco. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament.


Penta Collegiate League: When does it begin?


The first season of Penta Collegiate League will have two qualifiers. The registrations for the first qualifier are open until June 19. The matches will begin on June 21. The second qualifiers’ dates will be announced soon.

Penta Collegiate League: Which games will be featured?


The tournament will feature two popular games — Valorant on PC and Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) on mobile.


Penta Collegiate League: Prize pool details


As mentioned earlier, the winner will be rewarded with scholarships worth Rs 30 lakhs. For both Valorant and BGMI, the two qualifiers will have a total prize pool of Rs 2.5 lakhs in scholarships, with a finale round pool of Rs 10 lakhs.

The qualifiers and finale playoffs will be broadcast on the Loco app and website.
