The much-awaited and hyped upcoming battle royale, Indus, will finally be revealed completely to the people on February 1, 2024. Pune-based developer SuperGaming has finally revealed that Cosmium will be changing everything on Thursday. SuperGaming is known for teasing the various landmarks around the Indus on India's national holidays. This latest reveal regarding the launch date was confirmed on Republic Day (January 26, 2024).
The developer took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the final teaser with the caption that read, "Old ways don’t win new games. Cosmium Changes Everything. Full reveal on 1 February, 2024."
Earlier last month, SuperGaming opened access for gamers to the Indus closed beta. It offered the eager fans a chance to try out the game on their devices.
What Was Expected From Indus Closed Beta
The Indus Battle Royale closed beta was expected to showcase the battle royale mode, incorporating refined features derived from previous Indus Community Playtests. Gamers who wished to try this phase were granted access through a limited supply of Indus Closed Beta Keys. They were likely to get a chance to try out the game's signature 'Cosmium Win Condition'.
If we put this in simpler words then there are two ways to win a battle royale on Indus — Either you somehow manage to be the last Mythwalker standing, or you can play a smart game and obtain a special item called Cosmium. The special item is largely expected to spawn on the map towards the final circles of a match.
This year, Indus introduced two new playable characters - a tank aptly named Pokhran and a rogue-like sword-wielder named Mech Balika.
Gamers are expecting a lot from this Made-in-India game. Whether those expectations will be surpassed or not will be seen on February, 1.
