The much awaited Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will soon be officially launched on PlayStation 5. During the Gamescom opening night showcase on Tuesday, the action-adventure game announced its release date for Xbox and PC, with a PlayStation 5 release scheduled for the following year. "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" will launch on Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Game Pass on December 9. The game will then be available on PlayStation 5 in Spring 2025, as confirmed by Bethesda.
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Release Date
During Gamescom's Opening Night Live event, a new trailer for "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" showcased additional gameplay, including puzzles, whip combat, and revealed the game's release date. Developed by MachineGames, this first-person action-adventure title was earlier scheduled for a 2024 release. The trailer also announced that "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" will be available on PS5 in Spring 2025, following an exclusive period on Xbox Series S/X.
The game director, Jerl Gustafsson, in a video posted on Bethesda's social media channel, said, “We want everybody to be able to enjoy this adventure. That is why we are delighted to bring Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to PlayStation 5 players, next Spring 2025.”
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle To Arrive On PS5
Originally expected to be exclusive to Xbox consoles and PC, as it is a first-party Microsoft title developed by MachineGames and published by Microsoft-owned Bethesda, "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" had its exclusivity status questioned earlier this week. A games industry insider suggested that a PS5 release is planned for the first half of 2025.
In February, there were reports that the game might be considered for a PS5 launch. At that time, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer had indicated that it would not be part of the four Xbox-exclusive titles slated for release on competing Sony and Nintendo consoles. However, Spencer did not clarify whether "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" or other future Microsoft first-party games might eventually come to PS5.
In addition to confirming its release dates for Xbox and PC and the upcoming PS5 launch, Bethesda also announced pre-order details for "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" on Tuesday. The game will be offered in Standard, Premium, and Collector's editions, all available for pre-order on Xbox and Steam. Purchasing the Premium or Collector's editions will provide up to three days of early access. The game can also be added to wishlists on the PlayStation Store.
