Team Gladiators secured the first position in the three-day Esports event named Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS). The winning team took Rs 75 lakhs home out of the total pool prize of Rs 2 crores. Teams securing fourth to sixteenth positions also received prizes amounting from INR 12,50,000 to INR 1,00,000. Olympic winner Neeraj Chopra was invited as the Chief Guest and he took part in the closing ceremony by felicitating the winners of the gaming extravaganza. The tournament featured intense matches and loud cheering from the fans who gathered to witness the rise of esports in India. 


The Olympic Gold medallist while felicitating the winners said, "Today we celebrate not only the BGIS champions but also the growing prominence of Esports in India. It is remarkable to see the level of dedication and skill the teams showed. It is heartening to see the players’ passion in devoting themselves and rising from the grassroots level to achieving their dreams on the national stage. BGIS 2023


BGIS kicked off in July with 2048 teams participating in several rounds to make their place in the finals. On October 12, 13 and 15, 16 teams went head-to-head with each other over the course of 18 matches in order to get the ultimate chicken dinner. Team Gladiators made their mark in Esports by conquering the BGIS finale. More than 6,000 people stood witness to the event as the audience.


Krafton organised this tournament to provide a level playing field for both emerging as well as veteran teams to compete side by side and showcase their excellence. The event was live-broadcasted on JioCinema and the KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS YouTube Channel which drew exceptional response from both BGMI fans and Esports enthusiasts. The tournament final was broadcast in 10 different languages, including English, Hindi, and other regional languages to enable the audiences from across the nation to enjoy the intense battles.
