New Delhi: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the popular battle royale mobile game, is now getting the May 2022 update. Officially dubbed as “Update 2.0,” it finally brings an official Livik Map, new weapon upgrades and a vehicle, and a new mode for players to explore. South Korea-based developer Krafton announced that BGMI’s May 2022 update has already rolled out to iOS users at around 4pm IST today (May 13). For Android users, the update should be fully rolled out by 9:30pm IST. Here’s everything that’s new on BGMI Update 2.0.
BGMI Update 2.0: Official Livik Map, new vehicles, weapon upgrades
The Livik Map was only made available to gamers so far as beta. Now, fans will finally get to explore the Official Livik Map. The map also brings in a new vehicle, the UTV, which is a rugged all-terrain four-wheeler. Apart from the new vehicle, BGMI players will also get access to new weapon upgrades for the AKM, M416, P90, MK12, and M24.
An all-new zipline will also be in place to help players scoot around the map quickly. As a fun element, a football pitch will also be there, and players can score goals to earn handy items.
BGMI Update 2.0: Core Circle mode
Inspired by the popular Japanese anime Evangelion, the Core Circle mode will bring in progress-led bonuses, rewards, and new skins for players. The Core Circle mode can be played in two maps — Livik and Erangel.
BGMI Update 2.0: Classic mode updates
BGMI’s classic modes will get an emergency pickup feature. Whenever a player finds themselves outside the safe play zone, this feature can be used to quickly drop back into the middle of the circle. A revival tower has also been added, which can help players revive eliminated teammates.
Apart from the above, BGMI Update 2.0 also brings in enhanced haptic controls.
