New Delhi: Actor Mukesh Khanna has left netizens upset with his scandalous and offensive statements that he recently made. The actor, who is known for his superhero character Shaktiman, has a YouTube channel Bheeshm International. He recently uploaded a video on the channel titled ‘Kya aapko bhi aisi ladkiya lubhati hain? (Do such girls lure you as well)'.

In the video, he said that women who desire sex and ask for it aren’t women, but sex workers. While the whole video is shocking and offensive, people have called out the actor for one comment in particular. In the video, Mukesh Khanna says, “Koi bhi ladki agar kisi ladke ko kahe ‘I want to have sex with you’, wo ladki, ladki nahi hai, wo dhanda kar rahi hai. Kyunki is tarah ki nirlaj baatein koi sabhya samaj ki ladki kabhi nahi karegi (If any girl tells a boy that she wants to have sex with him, she is not a girl, she is a sex worker. Because a decent girl belonging to a civilised society would never say such things).”

He asked men to not fall for such messages and social media accounts, he blamed women for trying to run rackets and blackmailing ‘innocent men’. He said that he also receives such messages on WhatsApp and said that if such girls actually exist, then society has definitely suffered a downfall.

Netizens were quick to respond to this video and slammed the actor for his sexist views. A user commented, "When Shakti and maan dono leaves you (sic)." Another wrote, "sorry shaktimaan, this time you're the one in the wrong here (sic)."

A person wrote, “Amazing logic. I understand though, that no girl might have said this to him. So it’s great for him to remain in this delusion for life.”

Comedian Aditi Mittal also commented on a snippet of the video and wrote, “Shakti(ap)maan.”

Another viewer dropped a popular line from the show Shaktiman ‘Andhera Kayam Rahe (may darkness prevail)’.

Mukesh Khanna’s show ‘Shaktiman’ was hugely popular. Sony Pictures India has partnered with the actor’s Bheeshm International for a reboot of the show. It will be a trilogy with a ‘major superstar’.
