The sudden and tragic demise of actor and reality TV star Shefali Jariwala has left the entertainment industry and her fans across the country in deep shock. Best known as the unforgettable Kaanta Laga girl, Shefali passed away in Mumbai at the age of 42, reportedly due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Her unexpected death has sparked widespread grief and raised several questions, with an investigation still underway to determine the exact cause.

What Caused Shefali's Death?

According to sources, initial post-mortem findings suggest that “a sharp drop in blood pressure, followed by a heart attack, may have caused her death.”

Shefali reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest between the night of June 27 and 28. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, where she was declared dead upon arrival.

Fasting and a Collapse After Breaking Her Fast

On the day of the incident, Shefali had been fasting for a puja (religious ritual) at her home. As per reports, she fainted and collapsed during her first meal later that night. The combination of fasting and the sudden intake of food may have triggered a physical reaction, although investigations are still ongoing.

Anti-Aging Injections Under Scrutiny

In a new revelation, sources close to CNN-News18 stated that Shefali had taken an anti-aging injection on the evening of her death. While its connection to the cardiac episode is still unclear, the substance is being examined for any possible complications.

Further, as per NDTV reports, the actress was “reportedly undergoing anti-ageing treatment that included the use of Vitamin C and Glutathione — a substance often used for skin lightening and detox purposes.”

Police Investigation and Medical Reports

Mumbai Police have so far recorded 10 statements in connection with Shefali’s sudden death. While a final post-mortem report is expected within 2–3 days, early findings indicate that “the cause may be complications arising from self-medication.”

However, the possibility of food poisoning has not been ruled out either. A conclusive cause of death will only be known once the detailed medical report is released.
