New Delhi: Team India emerged victorious after a thrilling India-Pakistan match yesterday at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at Melbourne Cricket Ground and Virat Kohli captured the hearts of the audience owing to his brilliant performance. A lot of memorable moments from the victory were shared on social media, including the one in which captain Rohit Sharma lifted Kohli to the ground.

Although 'King Kohli' is the man of the moment, some of his supporters are now applauding Anushka Sharma for this victory. The Bollywood actor had endured fierce misogyny from Indian cricket fans who used to allege her for being behind Kohli's poor performances.

Fans were enthralled after this victory and netizens took to twitter to express their views regarding the match and to praise Anushka Sharma as well. One of them had written, “Agar blame karna hai, toh credit bhi dena chahiye. Well done, Anushka.”

While another user tweeted, "Happy to know that no one would be trolling Anushka Sharma tonight since Virat has done so well."

Anushka Sharma, too was proud of her husband and made a sweet Instagram post for him while sharing a series of television shots of Virat.

In her long post she expressed how proud she was and had also written, "You beauty!! You freaking beauty!! You have brought sooooo much joy in people’s lives tonight and that too on the eve of Diwali! You are a wonderful wonderful man, my love. Your grit, determination and belief is mind boggling."

Her touching letter received many responses from admirers and other celebrities, but it also caught Virat's attention.

Kohli praised his wife for being by his side no matter what and commented, "Thank you my love for being by my side through everything every single moment. I feel so grateful and love you so much."

Anushka is currently filming for her upcoming movie, 'Chakda Xpress', in Kolkata. The sports biopic, which was directed by Prosit Roy, is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
