New Delhi: The third Indian version of the 'Modern Love Franchise', an original anthology directed globally by John Carney, has a trailer now. The Amazon Original series 'Modern Love Chennai' will stream on the OTT platform Prime Video. 


The popular eponymous New York Times column serves as an inspiration for the film 'Modern Love Chennai', which features a talented cast that includes music legend Ilaiyaraaja and film director Bharathiraja. It is a collection of six stories that give a glimpse into the character of Chennai, its unique terrains, and its diverse population.

Talking about 'Paravai Kootil Vaazhum Maangal', the episode he has directed, director Bharathiraja described its story in one line, "Where, on whom and for what do we fall in love?"

Produced under the banner of Tyler Durden And Kino Fist with Thiagarajan Kumararaja as creator, the episodes are directed by Bharathiraja, Balaji Sakthivel, Rajumurugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar, Akshay Sundher, and Thiagarajan Kumararaja.


'Modern Love Chennai' features an ensemble cast comprised of Sanjula Sarathi, Srikrishna Dayal, Chu Khoy Sheng, Ashok Selvan, T. J. Bhanu, Sri Gouri Priya, Vasudevan Murali, Vasundhara, Ritu Varma, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Pawan Alex, Aniiruth Kanakarajan, Kishore, Ramya Nambessan, Vijayalakshmi, Wamiqa and PB.


The romance series will start streaming on May 18 on Amazon Prime Video.
