New Delhi: Bollywood actress Esha Gupta often makes news for her social media presence and her film endeavours. Fans adore her for her bold and stunning appearance, something she is known for. In spite of the haters and naysayers, she never stops entertaining her internet audience with her hot photos.

Esha recently spoke out against the practice of colourism in an interview. The question was presented to the actress about whether or not she had ever been made to feel uneasy because of the colour of her skin. She has always felt comfortable with her appearance, regardless of her skin tone or ethnicity.

In a recent interview with ETimes, she spoke openly about the disparity between fair and dull skin tones in the Bollywood business and its audience members.

To a question regarding if she has ever been made to feel self-conscious about her skin tone, Esha stated ETimes, "It happened with a brand contract once and it was actually my fault and that of my ex-agency. We did not read the contract properly, which said whitening and not brightening products. If I put cucumber on my face or eat the right food everyday, the brightness of my face will make a difference. But the brand decided to sc**w me and sue me because I wasn't ready to endorse their skin whitening products. That's when I realised that we come from a land where there's a problem.”

She further added, "Some Indians have the mindset where we think like white supremacy. Americans are fighting it. White supremacy means people who have dark colour or dark skin, are meant to be slaves because those who are fair think God made them as the ones who are supposed to rule."

Adding to this, Esha said that when we show up in other countries with our Indian skin tone without any makeup, we're constantly praised for our attractiveness.

The actress was recently seen in Prakash Jha's web series ‘Aashram 3’ alongside co-star Bobby Deol. Her smouldering chemistry with the show's leading character (Bobby Deol) and excellent performance went viral.
