New Delhi: Actor Vidyut Jammwal and fashion designer Nandita Mahtani, who got engaged in 2021, have reportedly called it quits. According to IANS, the couple has parted their ways but are still good friends.

Vidyut and Nandita were seen attending the haldi ceremony of Deanne Pandey's daughter on Wednesday, however the two were seen maintaining a distance from each other, a source told IANS.

"Vidyut's reclusiveness in the social circuit is a reason behind their distance," IANS quoted its source as saying.

They are respectful towards each other, are good friends, and are there for each other.

Vidyut Jammwal and Nandita Mehtani made their relationship official in 2021 through an Instagram post, and soon after that, Vidyut announced their engagement on Instagram by posting two pictures with Nandita. He wrote, “Did it the COMMANDO way. 01/09/21.”

Nandita Mehtani was previously married to businessman Sanjay Kapur.

On the work front, Vidyut will be starring in the extreme sports action movie 'Crakk' also starring Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is directed by Aditya Datt and is scheduled to hit the screens in 2023.

Talking about the film on extreme sports, he had said, "Looking at the current scenario and the way the audiences have changed, I have realised that everyone puts limits on everything they do, and it spreads in work, and the environment."

"This changing scenario has confirmed that there are no limits but only plateaus and we must not stay there. We must go beyond them. Hence, a movie on extreme sports from India."

Apart from ‘Crakk’, the actor will also be seen in a biopic titled 'Sher Singh Raana’. The movie is based on the life of Sher Singh Rana, who was convicted for the assassination of Phoolan Devi. The movie will focus on his life and claims of bringing back the remains of Prithviraj Chauhan, ruler of the Chauhan Dynasty, from Kandahar, Afghanistan.
