New Delhi: Isha Mahashivratri in front of the celebrated face of Adiyogi in Tamil Nadu has won the title of the country's most anticipated annual event, with over 140 million people attending. Sadhguru, who will lead an online audience through the Brahma Muhurtham meditations, underlines the significance of maintaining a straight spine on the "grand night of Shiva".
“The significance of the day is that there is an upward movement of energy in the human body. So this night, we want to spend awake, aware, with our spines erect so that whatever sadhana we are doing, there is a great assistance from nature," says Sadhguru.
Sadhguru's YouTube channels and major media networks will stream the event in 22 languages from 6 p.m. on March 8 to 6 a.m. on March 9 around the world.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will attend the event, which will draw thousands of people from all walks of life, and the stage will be graced by captivating performances from renowned artistes such as Shankar Mahadevan, Gurdas Maan, Pawandeep Rajan, Rathijith Bhattacharjee, Mahalingam, Mooralala Marwada, rappers such as Brodha V, Paradox, MC Heam, Dharavi project, French musicians, Sounds of Isha and Isha Samskriti.
