Mumbai: Popular actor of Hindi and Marathi films Mohan Joshi has contracted COVID-19 and is currently quarantined in a hotel in Goa. Mohan Joshi tested positive for COVID-19 after taking both doses of the Corona vaccine.


Due to the lockdown in Mumbai, Mohan Joshi was shooting his popular Marathi serial ‘Agabai Sunbai’ in Goa for the past several days. After testing positive for coronavirus, Manoj quarantined himself at the same hotel where he was staying during the shooting.


The 68-year-old actor confirmed ABP News on the phone that he had already taken both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Mohan Joshi said, “I took the first dose of Corona vaccine on 6 March while the second dose was taken on 20 April.”


Apart from working in Marathi films and serials, Mohan has acted in several Hindi movies including ‘Baghban’, Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Baaghi’, ‘Zameen’, ‘Gangaajal’, ‘Bichhoo’ and many more.


Mohan Joshi informed ABP News that four other crew members of his serial 'Agabai Sunbai' have also tested positive for the virus, including two lightmen, a man from the Art Department and a driver. He told that all are quarantined at a hotel in Goa hotel.


A few days back, the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) had banned shooting in Goa due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
