New Delhi: 'Big Boss' fame Uorfi Javed is well-known for her fashion sense. While some people praise her for the unconventional fashion choices she makes, many others criticise her for the same. Recently, the actor made headlines again when Sudhanshu Pandey remarked on her Diwali Instagram post. In the post, she went topless while wearing a red lehenga. She was also eating a laddoo and wished her fans. This video went viral, and many of her fans slammed her for posting something like that on such an auspicious day.
Sudhanshu Pandey, who is seen in the popular show 'Anupamaa', lashed out at her video calling it "ghastly". He also shared the post with the caption, "I don't follow this person but I still have to see such ghastly sights every day thanks to the news channels I'm enraged seeing this."
To his note, Pandey further added, "How can u guys even promote such a mockery of an auspicious festival like Diwali… for god's sake it's Laxmi poojan day"
Reacting to this, Uorfi took to her Instagram stories and shared a news article that stated, "Anupamaa actor Sudhanshu Pandey calls Uorfi Javed ghastly; is the female body so offensive?" and also wrote a note along with it.
She said, "Very well written. Sudhanshu Pandey, you should read this. You will understand your hypocrisy and double standards."
She further added, "The irony, is Anupamaa is a show about woman empowerment where a woman is shattering all the 'normals' set by society for women. Why don't you watch your own show Sudhanshu? Might learn something."
Uorfi had previously made a scathing remark about Sudhanshu, accusing him of using her for publicity. She had written, "You see such ghastly sights coz you don't control the world. I don't like seeing men like you telling the world that you don't like seeing me but I tolerate! Right? Anupamaa me dialogues nahi mil rahe hai toh socha Uorfi ko bol ke publicity le lu?"
Uorfi had begun her acting career with TV shows in 2016 and appeared in Bigg Boss OTT in 2017. She quite often gets attention for her fashion choices, which are captured in paparazzi videos and her own social media posts.
The release of her most recent music video, Haye Haye Yeh Majboori, in which she was seen dancing in the rain wearing an orange sari with support dancers, brought her into legal trouble.
According to a report by Entertainment Times, she was accused of publishing or transmitting material containing sexually explicit act by an anonymous complainant in Delhi.
