New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra, who is often photographed with her husband-singer Nick Jonas by paparazzi, was accused of staging the photos by a TikToker. The Bollywood actor has become the target of some harsh remarks from a TikTok user, who goes by the handle @thekylemarisa.
In one of her videos, she referred to Chopra as a "foreign born B+ lister" and said that she staged her own "paparazzi pictures" and sold them to publications. The video was later published on the subreddit Bolly Blinds and Gossip. Marisa reads out a blind item claiming that Priyanka and Nick's latest photos from New Jersey were actually taken by the actor's manager and sold to publications.
The article she read also claimed that the actor and her assistant made valiant attempts to convince a paparazzo to come to New Jersey location but that didn't work out. According to Marisa, it was about Priyanka "Chapra" and Nick Jonas. She even went on to show a screenshot from Daily Mail.
"Like every good PR couple, they got a spot in the Daily Mail… wait for the staged paparazzi photoshoot. Listen I had a client in Montclair, New Jersey. I spent so many nights in a hotel, this is emotionally damaging," Marisa said in the clip.
The accusations did not sit well with Priyanka's Reddit fans. “Pap walks are nothing new but this woman expects us to believe multi-millionaire PC wants the money from selling her pap pics. I sense bitterness and racism. And fake news,” one of the fans wrote.
“Ahhh I see how important it was for a White woman to make tiktok on how a brown woman made money by selling photos (even though she is rich) and is using their poor white men for money (because ofcourse she doesn't have any). This is the micro aggressive racism , people need to talk about. There are so many layers here,” another comment read.
“Yes like every other actress (white as well) doesn’t do this. They sell pregnancy announcement photos, gender reveal photos. It’s a passive source of income. I see a proud brown woman hustling and a white woman being bitter,” wrote a fan
Four years have passed since Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got hitched. They welcomed their daughter Malti into the world earlier this year through surrogacy.
