New Delhi: Adah Sharma is all the rage right now because of her role in the critically acclaimed new film ‘The Kerala Story’. Sudipto Sen, director of ‘The Kerala Story’ and actress Adah Sharma were supposed to participate in Hindu Ekta Yatra in Karimnagar on Sunday, May 14. They apparently had a car crash and some people from the team were critically hurt. Adah, however, has informed her fans about her health. Adah Sharma said the team is well and there was nothing serious to worry about.

Last night, Adah Sharma updated her supporters on the team's health, assuring them that everyone was doing alright. The actress expressed her gratitude to those who were worried about her by writing, "I'm fine guys. Getting a lot of messages because of the news circulating about our accident. The whole team, all of us are fine, nothing serious, nothing major but thank you for the concern."

Earlier, Sudipto Sen tweeted that they won’t be able to make it on the yatra because of a "medical emergency." He wrote, "Today we're supposed to visit Karimnagar to talk about our film at a youth gathering. Unfortunately we could not travel due some emergency health issue. Heartfelt apology to the people of Karimnagar. We made the film to save our daughters. Pls keep supporting us #HinduEkthaYatra."

Meanwhile, some political parties and organisations have spoken out against ‘The Kerala Story’, calling it propaganda and demanding that it be banned. Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of West Bengal, has banned the film out of fear for public safety. The film's success at the box office comes despite its controversial reception.

'The Kerala Story' depicts how women from Kerala were forcefully converted and recruited by the terror group Islamic State (IS). The film, which was produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, premiered in theatres on May 5. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani play the main characters in 'The Kerala Story'.
