'Constable Girpade' is a new show streaming on Amazon Prime Mini TV since October 6, 2023. The story revolves around a newcomer- 'Officer Mandaar Ghorpade', affectionately known as 'GIRPADE', as he is treading the same path as his father by joining the police force, starting as a humble constable overseeing an affluent neighbourhood in Mumbai. Girpade's father, Senior Constable Amol Ghorpade, tragically lost his life in the line of duty while pursuing the elusive criminal 'Phenyl Mohan', a master of disguise. Amid his determination to capture Phenyl, his mother's quest for purpose, his first romance, and his rapport with his Sub Inspector supervisor, Girpade finds himself entangled in the peculiar issues of wealthy individuals, one comical case after another.

The film stars Neel Salekar as 'Constable D'Mello', Khushaal Pawar as 'Constable Girpade', Saurabh Ghadge as 'Tedhi Maut', Shray Tiwari as 'Sub-Inspector Mithilesh Dhaiya' and Chandni Bhabhda as 'Saloni Bhosale'.

In a conversation with ABP Live, the cast of 'Constable Girpade' talked about their characters and also recalled some fun instances on set.

Talking about his character, Neel Salekar said, "So, my character D'Mello is pretty much the same as me, and he is very loving, he is a good friend, and he loves to help people, and he is very emotional, and can do anything for anyone, and he is the best friend of Constable Girpade."

On the same lines, Khushaal Pawar added, "I am playing Constable Girpade, who has big dreams and wants to take revenge for his father's death, and he is trying to solve the case in the show by learning a lot of things in every case." Sharing the reason behind being called 'Girpade', Khushaal Pawaar said, "He’s Ghorpade actually but because he’s clumsy, falls around easily, and that’s why he was called Girpade."

In addition to him, Saurabh Ghadge went on to say that his character is talented and he believes in his looks. He is a good person, while Shray Tiwari said, "Mithilesh Dhaiya is a stubborn and cliché police officer, who shows his stubbornness to his people, but eventually, there are more layers to him." Lastly, Chandni Bhabhda shared about his character 'Saloni Bhosale' calling her very over-friendly.

Talking about what the audience will expect from the show, the stars said that it is a comedy show and the audience will enjoy it a lot. Adding to it, Neel said, "The show actually offers a lot of emotions. With comedy, there are social messages, like discussing societal problems and friendship."

Shooting a comedy film must have been enjoyable as well as entertaining for the stars, and they too must have shared some fun moments on the set.

Revising a particular scene, Saurabh said, "There is a scene about jail where we as a team improvised a lot. The situation was getting worse and the hotter it got, the more irritated everyone became. So, the improvisation really turned out to be a super funny moment for us, the cast and everyone involved. There was a rap that happened in one of the episodes which turned out to be really fun as well. I can’t rap well but it was still fun trying out that. The highlight was when we were struggling to speak the dialogue as Khushaal and I kept laughing."

Sharing her experience, Chandini added, "I had a lot of fun, and it was an amazing experience, special thanks to Saad sir for making it so easy. I am very happy because this is the first web show that I have worked on with Saad Sir. Neel and Khushal made it so easy and so comfortable for me. I was very nervous initially but they made me very comfortable and made sure I felt like I was going to 'kill it'"

Constable Girpade was Khushaal's dream project. Talking about it, he said, "I really want this show to be good, everyone who knows a little bit about me and anyone who knows anything at all about the cast, should go and give their love to the show because we have put in a lot of hard work to make this show, and only of the audience appreciates our work is when actors like us to get more work as actors and performers. It will be really nice if they go and watch the show.
