New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay and his wife Sangeetha are one of the most popular pair in the South industry. There are now whispers that their marriage is on the verge of divorce. Reportedly, when Sangeetha did not show up to the baby shower for director Atlee's wife, rumours began circulating. Many people are wondering why Sangeetha wasn't there at the launch ceremony when Thalapathy Vijay debuted the trailer for his highly awaited flick ‘Varisu’.

Reports of divorce between Thalapathy Vijay and his wife Sangeetha have been making headlines. An amicable divorce between Vijay and his wife sparked the rumours. Even though the actor hasn't addressed the allegation head-on, fans claim that something is suspicious.

But the rumours aren't true. Sangeetha was reportedly in the United States with the couple's children Jason and Divya, a claim confirmed by a source cited by Pinkvilla. Also, “The rumours of Vijay and Sangeetha’s divorce are baseless. We have no idea how it started,” the source said.

In keeping with his preference for privacy, Thalapathy Vijay has remained silent. However, credible sources have dismissed the reports as false.

Vijay and Sangeetha met, liked one other, and eventually tied the knot on August 25, 1999. They have two children, a boy named Jason Sanjaya born in 2000 and a girl named Divya Sashaa born in 2005.
