New Delhi: TV shows going off air within six months is a not a new thing in the industry. The head honchos at leading GECs often pull the plug on shows which fail to bring desired TRPs. Zee TV launched ‘Dance India Dance 7’ and ‘Aghori’ with several expectations in June. However, the two shows failed to garner good ratings for the channel.

As per the latest buzz, ‘Aghori’ is all set to bid adieu to the viewers. The show starring Gaurav Chopra, Simran Kaur, and Parag Tyagi in key roles couldn’t strike a chord with the viewers.

A report in an entertainment portal has suggested that ‘Aghori’ will go off air on September 28. The weekend show was launched on June 22.

Gaurav Chopra confirmed the news of the show going off air and said that the makers might come back with a sequel.

"It's been very difficult, very challenging but an extremely fun ride. I am glad that I have played a character which was not easy to do. There was not a single aspect of being an actor which was not required. You got to have physicality, personality, voice, comic timing, action; right from being on a harness to underwater, everything I attempted. At my stage, you want to reinvent and rediscover yourself which I did with this show. I am very glad that the journey was challenging and thoroughly satisfying because of the quality. The show is loved and watched on ZEE5. We keep getting good response from our fans too. It's ending for now, but we may come back with a sequel soon," Gaurav told SpotboyE.

‘Aghori’ will be replaced by Movie Masti With Maniesh Paul’. The filmy quiz will hit the airwaves from October 5 on Zee TV. The promo for the show is already on-air.
