We had earlier told you that Deblina Chatterjee has quit ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. She played the role of Gayatri aka Gayu in the show. The ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress quit the show as she didn’t wish to play the role of a mother to a five-year-old kid post the leap.
The makers of the show have finally found Deblina’s replacement. Yes, you read that right.
According to a report in an entertainment portal, Simran Khanna has replaced Deblina Chatterjee as the new Gayu in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.
The actress has been part of shows like ‘Kis Desh Main Hain Meraa Dil’, ‘Sanyukt and ‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’.

‘’It is a nice feeling to be part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a big show and I am eager to win hearts as Gayu. Gayu as a character is very nice and positive,” Simran told IWMBuzz.
Simran will be paired opposite Samir Onkar, who plays the role of Gayu’s husband Samarth Goenka.
Simran is quite excited to be a part of ‘YRKKH’ and she even shared a photo on Instagram from her first day on the sets.

The character of Gayu was originally played by Kanchi Singh. Deblina stepped into Kanchi’s shoes after she quit the show in search of greener pastures.
