New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shivangi Joshi, who turned a year older yesterday, lost her grandfather on her birthday. The ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress shared the heartbreaking actress on her Instagram story. Fans had flooded her Twitter and Instagram timeline with their birthday messages and Shivangi had even planned to go live on Instagram to thank them. However, she had to cancel her plans as her grandfather passed away on Monday (May 18).

'Unfortunate to lose my grandfather yesterday, may he smiles and look upon us from the sky,” Shivangi wrote on her Instagram story. Check out her post!

Shivangi Joshi is currently spending her quarantine at her hometowm Dehradun. The shooting for all films, TV shows and ads has been halted due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The ‘Begusarai’ actress is making full use of her free time by spending it with her family members.



Shivangi has won several hearts with her performance as Naira in Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. The show has successfully completed over 3000 episodes and is still going strong. Shivangi’s chemistry with co-star Mohsin Khan has helped ‘YRKKH’ in grabbing several eyeballs.
