Producer Rajan Shahi's long-running Star Plus show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', featuring Shivangi Joshi & Mohsin Khan in the lead roles of 'Naira' & 'Kartik', witnessed the exit of actor Rishi Dev aka 'Naksh' from the show in December last year pot which 'Bepannaah' actor Shahzad Shaikh replaced him. Now, another popular actor has moved out of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. TV actress Parul Chauhan, who plays the role of Kartik's mother 'Swarna Goenka' in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', has quit the show.

Reportedly, Parul Chauhan does not want to play a grandmother on the show.

Confirming her exit from 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', Parul told a leading daily that, "Yes, I have quit the show as I was not ready to play the role of a grandmother's role at such an early stage of my career. I felt I won't be able to do justice to the role. I spoke to Rajan sir (Producer) and thankfully he understood my concerns."

The actress got hitched to actor beau Chirag Thakkar in a private ceremony on 12th December last year. Ever since then, the couple is enjoying marital bliss and is enjoying her break.

Speaking about the same, she further told TOI that, "I am enjoying the break and not in any hurry to return to work. I went to stay with my parents at my house for few days. Doing a daily soap becomes very hectic, you end up getting no time for yourself. Hence, I am also working on body and taking care of myself. I am enjoying the break."

On the professional front, Parul Chauhan became a household name after playing the lead role of 'Ragini' opposite Kinshuk Mahajan in 'Bidaai' & later featured in various popular shows like 'Rishton Se Badi Pratha', 'Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed', 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' among others.

Coming back to 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', fans of Parul Chauhan are surely going to miss seeing her on the show.
