New Delhi: Bollywood Director-Producer Karan Johar recently became father of twins and it all happened through surrogacy. Now, another couple has joined this bandwagon and it is adorable TV couple Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary. Yes! This is true! Couple has become proud parents of two girls.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, TV couple has adopted two girls from Gurmeet’s hometown in Bihar – Jarampur. Whether the girls Pooja and Lata will be moving in with Gurmeet and Debina anytime soon? No. He believes that it would be more of a culture- shock for the girls to come and settle in the hust;e and bustle of Mumbai. So, taking the advice of counsellors and friends, Gurmeet and Debina have decided to send the girls to a school in Patna, which is comparatively a bigger city that Jarampur, where they will study for a year.
While talking to the publication, Gurmeet said “After one academic year, they will shift in with us in our Andheri home by 2018. My brother and his family live in Patna and they will be around to see that they are well cared for. Debina and I will travel to Patna three-four times in the year and stay there through their summer vacation too.”
In year 2014, Gurmeet and Debina met Pooja and Lata when latter’s parents told him that both the girls were orphan. Talking about the incident actor said “After hearing about their plight from my mother I discussed them with my wife. Debina agreed with me that it was time to give the kids a home, a deserving education and my last name.”
He further said ““All the paperwork is done. We will be going to Jarampur for the final signatures after Holi. It is a two-day process.Everybody, including my parents, keep asking me when I’m planning a baby. Well, it’s official now, I’m bringing home two daughters and we couldn’t be more excited,”
Debina and Gurmeet got married in year2011.
