New Delhi: Colors TV’s ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ has managed to keep the viewers on the edge of their television seats with its drama-packed episodes. The social drama starring Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik in the respective roles of Harman and Saumya has successfully completed three years.

Speculations are rife that ‘Shakti’ will soon take a generation leap of 20-25 years. The makers are yet to confirm the development but the fans are wondering if the lead pair of Vivian and Rubina will continue to feature in the show.

Rubina, while talking to a leading daily, said that the production house is yet to inform the actors about the leap.

“I have only been hearing about the leap from the media. I haven’t been informed about it by the producers yet. They have always kept us in the loop and I am certain that if a leap is in the offing, they will tell us about it,” the beautiful actress told Times Of India.

When asked if she is willing to play an older character if the show takes a leap, Rubina said that she would continue as long as her character is challenging to perform.

“Till the time my character remains challenging and is driving the show, I will continue. My character has been on the driving seat since the inception of 'Shakti'. It’s one of the most challenging characters I have played and has kept me on the edge. I have lived the journey for so long and have given life to the character. It’s my blood and sweat that you see in Saumya (her character) on the show. So, I don’t mind playing an older character, or even mom to a teenager, as long as there is a challenge in performing it,” the ‘Choti Bahu’ actress told the daily.

‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ has seen a drop in TRPs and the makers are trying their best to bring back the viewers. Several shows on Colors channel are underperforming and ‘SAKEK’ is doing better compared to other daily soaps.

The recent leaps in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ have helped the show in grabbing several eyeballs. The makers often opt for leaps to advance storyline. and introduce new characters.

Another popular show is expected to take a five-year leap soon. We are talking about Star Plus’ ‘Nazar’.

A report in an entertainment has suggested that the show starring Monalisa, Harsh Rajput and Niyati Fatnani will take a leap in August.

‘’The leap will take place next month. The cast will remain the same. There would be no change in the team. However, the kid in the show will be seen grown-up,” a source told IWMBuzz.
