The Forest Department on Wednesday arrested actress Shruti Ulfat along with another actress and two production managers for recording a video while handling a cobra. Four months after she posed for a picture with a live cobra coiled around her, the mistake has come back to bite the TV Actress.

The actress had been shooting with the snake for her show 'Nagarjuna--Ek Yodhha'. Nitin Solanki, Utkarsh Bali and Pearl Puri, a part of the production team have also been arrested.

Sunish Kunju of PAWS instantly decided to raise this issue to the forest department for forensic investigation. Following which, Shruti along with three other members from her production team –  Nitin Solanki, Utkarsh Bali and Pearl Puri were arrested and been booked under the violation of sections wildlife act 1972 -Sections 9, 39, 48a, 51.

Confirming the arrest, Range Forest officer Santosh Kank told Mid Day that, “We have arrested actress Shruti Ulfat along with 3 others for posing with a cobra and posting the images and videos online in October 2016. They were produced before the Borivli court and have been kept in custody of the Thane range. A CD with the images and videos was sent to the forensic lab and it has been proved that a live snake was used for shooting purposes.”
