New Delhi: Popular TV actress Tina Datta managed to win the hearts of the viewers with her power-packed performance in Colors TV’s ‘Uttaran’. The show co-starring Rashami Desai ran successfully for six long years. Despite working in several small screen shows, Tina is fondly known for her role of Ichcha in ‘Uttaran’. The Bengali beauty, while talking to a leading daily, revealed that a TV producer refused to pay her Rs 30 lakh after the show went off air.

Tina didn’t reveal the name of the person but she said that the producer refused to pay her salary claiming the show suffered losses. She said that the show never ran into losses as they had sponsors and advertisers backing it.

“I don’t wish to name the producer, but he actually refused to pay me Rs 30 lakh after the show went off the air. He apparently claimed that he ran the show in a huge loss, which is practically not possible because they had financial backing from the sponsors and advertisers,” Tina told Hindustan Times.
