Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh goes 'missing'

According to reports, Gurucharan was supposed to land in Mumbai on April 22 but he did not. His father Hargit Singh lodged a missing complaint with the Delhi Police in Hindi, which read: “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn't reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.”

Meanwhile, quoting a close friend "Ms Soni", Pinkvilla reported that the actor had been unwell for some days and had also undergone a few tests.

“His parents are worried and have filed a missing report in Delhi. I tried to file one in Mumbai as well, however, since he hasn’t returned back a complaint cannot be filed here. Gurucharan ji’s health also hasn’t been keeping well for the last many days, so I am worried about that,” Pinkvilla quoted her as saying.

She said Singh's blood pressure was high before he left for Delhi, and that he wasn’t eating much.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Jennifer Mistry

Gurucharan Singh, known for playing Roshan Singh Sodhi on hugely popular ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, exited the show because of his father's health problems. Much like other actors who left the show, he faced issues with unpaid dues. TMKOC courted media attention after actor Jennifer Mistry accused show producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment. It wasn't until this controversy that Gurucharan’s dues were settled.

As per a report in ETimes, the court ordered Modi to clear Jennifer's outstanding dues as well as pay an additional Rs 5 lakh to her as compensation. "The verdict is in my favour, confirming the allegations I made with strong evidence. This outcome surpasses what the police achieved in the past year," she told the publication.
