New Delhi: After 15 years on television, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is still going strong. On Friday, July 28, the popular Indian sitcom celebrated its 15th year on air. Over 3,800 episodes of the programme have aired since it was launched by Asit Kumarr Modi under the Neela Film Productions. Actress Munmun Dutta, who portrays Babita Krishnan Iyer in the Sony SAB drama, took to Instagram to express her gratitude towards the cast and crew. She reflected on the profound impact TMKOC has had on her life.


On Instagram, Munmun Dutta shared a series of pictures from the set and the cast of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. In the caption, she elaborated on how much gratitude she has for the show.


Munun wrote, "Gratitude! Gratitude and only gratitude is what I can express today! I am so grateful and thankful for the way my life has taken a turn for the better in the past 15 years, grateful for the love that’s showered on me/us by everyone that has seen the show and has made us a part of their lives."



She added, "Grateful for a wonderful team of colleagues...actors/ directors/ writers and each and everyone in the entire unit. Asit Ji’s relentless pursuit and dedication for achieving one goal after another. This is a result of everyone’s hardwork, time, passion, patience, dedication, determination, and everything that can be given in this project. Happiest 15th Birthday Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah."


Meanwhile, TMKOC has been into a lot of controversy lately. Actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs Roshan Sodi, in the comedy show accused the show's producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, of treating her badly, both mentally and sexually. She also said that Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj harassed her at work.
