New Delhi: Actor Kush Shah aka Goli Hansraj Hathi officially quits the long-running comedy television show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. The producers have released a video introducing the new actor who will be portraying his character.


The creators of the show posted an emotional video on YouTube in which Kush Shah reflected on his childhood experiences on ‘TMKOC’. Highlights from Kush's time as Goli was shown in a video montage, which chronicled his development as an actor over the years and included footage of him having fun on set and dancing.


Kush remarked, “When this show started, when you and I first met, I was very young. You have given me a lot of love since then. And this family has given me as much love as you have given me. I have made a lot of memories here. I have enjoyed a lot here."



In his gratitude to Asit Modi, Kush said that Asit Modi encouraged and believed in him. Kush slices a cake and serves the cast during his farewell, which is later seen in the video.


Asit Modi can be heard saying, "Goli ne apna pura bachpan Gokuldham society me bitaya hain. He has been consistent throughout. So, thank you Kush and all the best."


Rumour has it that Kush has left the show to pursue further education abroad. Meanwhile, a new actor will keep portraying the part.


After Kush's 16 years as a mainstay, fans are wondering how the new Goli will carry on the character's work.
