New Delhi: Sony SAB’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has successfully managed to tickle the funny bones of the viewers with its comic episodes. The show has completed over 11 years and is still going strong. Despite facing competition from ‘ Tujhse Hai Raabta’, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ and ‘Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush’, the popular sitcom has retained its slot leadership week after week.

Earlier in the day, we informed you that Disha Vakani aka Dayaben would make a return to the show during the Navratri 2019 celebrations. The actress is on a maternity break since the birth of her daughter. Ardent fans of the show are eagerly waiting for Disha to make her comeback.

The show’s producer Asit Modi, while talking to a leading daily, confirmed that Disha would return in a month’s time.

“We are positive that Disha will make a comeback on the show as Daya. It might take a month’s time. Time and again, we have been asking her to be back on the show. However, she wasn’t ready and told us, ‘Meri beti abhi chhoti hai, how can I leave her alone?” But now, she seems to have made up her mind to make a comeback,” Modi told Times Of India.

“Disha and the production house never had any negative conversations in the past. We were always insisting on having her back on the show. We have tried to push the story for two years without Dayaben, but we definitely want her back on the show," he further told the daily.


The fans will definitely get excited after reading this news. Disha Vakani has carved a special place in the hearts of the viewers with her performance as Dayaben. Her garba dance and classic line ‘Hey Maa, Maataji’ are quite popular among the viewers.
