Priya and her husband Malav Rajda welcomed their first child in November 2019. She requested her followers to pray for her son Ardaas. She urged her fans to wear the mask as a precautionary measure and not take the pandemic lighty.
“It’s my duty to inform you all that I have been tested COVID POSITIVE. I’m asymptotic I’m doing okay! I’m following instructions provided by doctors n BMC. I’m in home quarantine. Incase if any of you came in touch with me in last 2-3 days get yourself tested pls. I haven’t been shooting n was at home all this while still got this virus.. keep ur self safe n don’t forget to wear the mask. Don’t take it lightly.N pls Do keep me n my lil one in your Prayers,” Priya wrote on Instagram.
Dilip Joshi, who plays the role of Jethalal in 'TMKOC', dropped a comment on the post and prayed for her speedy recovery. He wrote, "Will definitely pray for your speedy recovery Priya... Take care n get well soon.."
Priya's husband, who is the chief director of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma', commented, "Get well soon my champ...i will be by ur side all the while...maybe out of that fear u will get well soon."

Priya’s ‘Taarak Mehta’ co-star Navina Bole has also tested positive for COVID-19. She is also observing mandatory quarantine after she contracted the virus.

Earlier in the day, popular TV couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee also informed their fans that they have tested positive for novel Coronavirus. The ‘Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi’ actor urged the people who came in contact with them to get tested.
“My wife Debina and I have tested positive for COVID-19 today. We are, touch wood, doing fine and are taking all the necessary precautions, in isolation at home. We request all those who have been in contact with us to take care. Thank you all for your love and support,” Gurmeet tweeted.
