New Delhi: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) makers have been in the news for quite sometime after its actor Jennifer Mistry accused producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment. Now another actor of the show has spoken about the toxic environment of the show. Monika Bhadoriya, who played Bawri in the show, alleged that the show’s makers ‘torture’ the actors working on the show.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Monika also shared that she became a different person altogether after working with TMKOC makers. “I was a very different kind of person when I joined TMKOC and the show completely changed me. When I looked at myself, I thought ‘What have I become working with them?’ There was a lot of negativity. So I left TMKOC and worked on myself. They used to torture me and I thought of committing suicide. The makers of TMKOC have their own set of rules which are different from the industry and they don’t follow the rules of CINTAA,” she said.

Monika also shared that when she left the show nobody was ready to speak up about the environment of the show. “When I left the show, nobody stood by my side. I approached the media and when the media wanted to talk to me, they made me sign a bond and said, ‘If you’ll sign these papers and not go to media, we will release your due payment, otherwise no.’  Even after signing the bond, they did not clear my payment. I called them for a year and at one point, they stopped picking up my calls,” she told Pinkvilla.

Earlier, actor Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs Roshan Sodi in the TV show, accused producer Asit Modi of alleged sexual harassment at the workplace. Asit Modi called all the allegations baseless and said he would take legal action against the actor.

Apart from accusing Asit Modi, Jennifer also claimed that the show's project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj behaved rudely with her.
