New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, known for his power-packed performances, committed suicide by hanging himself at his apartment on Sunday (June 14). The tragic news of his demise has left the industry and his fans in a state of shock. It’s hard to believe that the talented actor is no more with us. Several tinsel town celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao mourned his death on social media.


Sushant had called his close friend and ‘Pavitra Rishta’ co-star Mahesh Shetty before taking the drastic step. The call didn’t go through and Mahesh later came to know that Sushant had committed suicide.

Mahesh was left completely shattered after hearing the news of Sushant’s demise. Mumbai Police officials called the actor to record his statement in the actor’s suicide case.

The ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’ actor has now shared a post for Sushant on Instagram and it will make you emotional. He posted the long note along with the caption, “So much has been left unanswered and there’s so much more left to talk. I’ll tell you all about it, when I see you again !!”

"Sometimes in life you meet someone and feel an instant connection as if you've known him all your life and you realise you don't have to be born from the same womb to be brothers. This is how we met ..We met as brother," his post read.

Mahesh recalled their old and how they bonded over food and long walks.

"We hit off over our love for food and long walks in Film City and didn't realize when and how we became such an integral part of each other's lives. Both introverts, both amazingly old fashioned when it came to our friendship, both living in a private world of our own," he said.

Mahesh's last line for Sushant will leave you teary-eyed. He said, "I know how much you loved the stars.. Dharti Maa Ki Kasam, I'll be looking out for you every night brother."

Sushant’s funeral was conducted at Pawan Hans crematorium, Vile Parle on Monday afternoon. The likes of Ekta Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor attended the 'Raabta' actor's funeral in Mumbai.
