New Delhi: Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who is fondly known for playing the role of Prerna opposite Cezanne Khan in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, has filed a case against her husband Abhinav Kohli. The beautiful actress has accused him of making obscene comments and showing vulgar photos to her daughter Palak Tiwari, and also slapping her.


The FIR was lodged at Mumbai’s Samta Nagar Police Station in Kandivali on Sunday (August 11). Abhinav was reportedly interrogated by the police in Shweta & Palak's presence for nearly 4 hours.

"TV actress reported that her second husband is abusing in filthy language to her daughter, and he is outraging modesty of her daughter by commenting very obscene comment and showing obsence model's photo in his mobile. On the said complaint CR No.342/19 u/s 354-A, 323, 504, 506, 509 IPC r/w 67-A IT act is registered against the accused and subsequently he is arrested . Further investigation is going on," the police said in a statement.

Shweta Tiwari’s ex-husband and Palak’ father Raja Chaudhary, while talking to a leading daily, reacted to the allegations and said that it was very disturbing thing for him as a father.

“I learnt about it through the media. I have been in touch with my daughter and checked on her this morning. She told me not to worry and that she is fine. It’s very disturbing for me as a father,” Raja told Bombay Times.

Shweta and Raja, who are parents to Palak, got divorced in 2007. The 'Bigg Boss 4' winner had accused him of domestic violence. Shweta tied the knot with Abhinav Kohli in 2013 and the couple welcomed a baby boy in 2016.

Speculations of trouble in Shweta and Abhinav's marriage were rife for quite some time. However, the two denied all the reports.
