New Delhi: In a recent update on television actress Tunisha Sharma’s death case, her co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan reportedly told police that he ended his relationship with Tunisha after details of Shraddha Walkar case came into the limelight, according to ANI report.

Sheezan Khan reportedly said that he was 'so disturbed by the atmosphere in the country' after the murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala, that he decided to end his relationship with the late actor. The actor reportedly said that he told Tunisha that their relationship was not sustainable due to their different religions and age gap.

He also revealed that Tunisha had tried committing suicide earlier also. "Tunisha had recently tried to commit suicide a few days before her death, but at that time I saved her and told Tunisha's mother to take special care of her," Sheezan said, reported ANI as it quoted police sources.

Tunisha and Sheezan broke up a fortnight before she was found dead inside a washroom on the set of her show.

Meanwhile, in a video message Tunisha's mother Vanita Sharma, who had registered a complaint against Sheezan, alleged that Sheezan had promised to marry the actress, but then broke up with her. "Despite being involved with another woman, he continued a relationship with Tunisha. He used her for three-four months. I just want to say that Sheezan should be punished, he should not be spared. I have lost my child," Vanita said in the video.

Sheezan was arrested under section 306 of IPC for abetment of suicide and was sent to four-day police custody in connection with Tunisha's alleged suicide.

The Waliv Police on Sunday said the post-mortem reports of the actor have specified 'hanging' as the cause of death.

Tunisha Sharma's last rites will be performed on December 27 in Mira road area.
