TV actress Amita Udgata, who is best known for playing 'Amma' in Star Plus' social drama 'Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya', is no more! Last seen as 'Dadi Bua' in Sony TV's popular show 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi', starring Shaheer Sheikh & Erica Fernandes in lead roles, Amita passed away last night due to lung failure. Amita was not well and was admitted in a hospital from the last four days. In fact, the senior actress was kept life support.

Also seen in popular shows like 'Maharana Pratap', 'Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo', 'Doli Armaanon Ki' among others, Amita Udgata is survived by two children, Ruchin Udgata and Rishab Udgata.

Reportedly, her last rites ceremony will take place on Thursday as the family is waiting for Amita's elder son's arrival.

Amita close friend & actress Abha Parmar spoke about the same to India Today & said, "We were more like sisters than friends. I am from Kanpur and she was from Lucknow. I wasn't aware that her condition so serious. I was supposed to visit her today. She was a great actress and a friend and we have faced life's struggles together."
